USGS Water Collection in Louisiana

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) Water Collection Team sampled water in Louisiana households in Franklin and Assumption Parish on August 12-13th. Special thanks to Erin Theriot and Kevin Carroll for their involvement as community liaisons.

National Wear Red Day

Assumption Parish celebrated National Wear RED Day on February 7. A challenge was issued via email blast and the Louisiana Core social media pages to take and share a picture and tag the RURAL Heart & Lung Study Assumption team. Additionally there were informational posts promoting heart health awareness and community visits to participants and organizations. It’s safe to say that ASSUMPTION saw RED!
